Notice: This text reflects an ongoing transition of WantThat.watch to a UK-registered operating company. Some company and legal details are temporary and will be confirmed before paid public launch. Final UK legal documents and registered entity details must be reviewed before public paid competitions open.
1. The promoter of all the competitions on our website ("our Website"): wantthat.watch is WantThat.watch, a company registered in the United Kingdom (to be confirmed in the final UK legal documents before launch) under company number to be confirmed before launch, with registered office at an address to be confirmed before launch ("WantThat.watch, we, our, us"). Our contact email is info@wantthatwatch.com ("our Email Address").
2. The T&Cs shall apply to all the competitions advertised on Our Website. By submitting a competition entry, you agree to be bound by the T&Cs in force at that time. We may make changes to the T&Cs from time to time, so please check them every time you use Our Website.
3. We run various skill-based competitions on our Website from time to time. The details of each competition ("the Competition") are as described on the relevant competition page ("Competition Page") of our Website, which may also state the maximum number of entries we will accept before we close the Competition.
4. The Competition will be open until the date and time ("the Closing Date") shown on the Competition Page.
5. All Competition entries must be received by us by no later than the Closing Date. Any entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified.
6. Each Competition entry requires answering an expert-level horological skill question. To enter, there are two available routes:
6.1 You enter the Competition online, via the Competition Page, by paying the stated entry price and correctly answering the skill question. You will be allocated a unique Entry ID for each entry.
6.2 You enter the Competition for free by complying with our postal entry requirements fully set out in Schedule 1 below. You will be allocated an Entry ID for each valid postcard received. NOTE: you must register a free online account via the Competition Page.
Both paid and free entry routes have equal chances of winning.
7. The winner ("the Winner") of the Competition will be selected from amongst all eligible entries (correct answers only) by a cryptographically secure random number generator. The draw will be carried out either:
7.1 Live, in which case the draw may be observed on our social media channels; or
7.2 Automatically by Our Website; within seven days after the Closing Date.
8. Competition entries made via the paid online route are non-refundable, unless We cancel the Competition (see Paragraph 9).
9. We may by notice on Our Website cancel any Competition in the event of a force majeure event (as defined in Schedule 2), in which case We will refund all entry fees.
10. Our Competitions are open to those 18 years of age or over. By entering the Competition, you confirm that you are eligible to enter and to claim any prize you may win.
11. We may require proof of eligibility and may conduct age verification procedures. Winners may be required to provide proper identification (with photo-ID) to verify their identity, age and place of residence.
12. We will not accept any entries that We reasonably believe were automatically generated, completed by third parties, bulk entries, illegible, altered, forged, tampered with, received after the Closing Date, or part of a scheme using multiple names and addresses.
13. The Prize will be as described on the Competition Page. Following the draw, the winning Entry ID will be displayed on the Competition Page.
14. The Prize is neither negotiable nor transferable.
15. We reserve the right to substitute for the Prize a cash prize at least equal to the value of the Prize, if the Prize becomes unavailable or circumstances beyond Our reasonable control make it necessary.
16. Our decision as to all matters is final; no correspondence concerning it will be entered into.
17. After the Closing Date, We will contact the Winner personally as soon as practicable, by email using the email address provided upon registration, or by telephone.
18. Within 7 days after the Closing Date, we will publish on the Competition Page the name of the Winner with the winning Entry ID.
19. We'll organise delivery of our winners' prizes! Delivery may take up to 14 days.
20. Share your happiness with our community by sending us a photo of you and your prize, which we'll feature on our website.
21. If the Winner cannot be contacted or has not claimed the Prize within 21 days after the Closing Date, We reserve the right to offer the Prize to the next eligible entrant.
22. All Want That Watch competitions are games of skill, not lotteries. Entrants must correctly answer an expert-level horological question to qualify for the draw. Every answer is logged with timestamp, IP address, and unique entry ID for full legal audit purposes.
23. Every competition entry is recorded with a full audit trail including: entrant details, answer given, correctness validation, timestamp, IP address, and unique entry ID (format: OC-XXXXXXXXXXXX).
24. Draw results include: cryptographic random seed, winner selection index, total and eligible entry counts, and complete audit log. All draw records are retained for legal compliance.
25. We will process your personal information in accordance with Our Privacy Policy.
26. So far as is permitted by law, we, Our agents or distributors will not be liable to compensate the Winner for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the Prize, except where caused by Our negligence.
27. These Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from them are governed by the United Kingdom (to be confirmed in the final UK legal documents before launch). The courts of the United Kingdom (to be confirmed in the final UK legal documents before launch) will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
