A clear summary of how every Want That Watch competition works
Last updated: June 2026.
Notice: This text reflects an ongoing transition of WantThat.watch to a UK-registered operating company. Some company and legal details are temporary and will be confirmed before paid public launch. Final UK legal documents and registered entity details must be reviewed before public paid competitions open.
Plain-language summary. The binding legal text is the full Terms & Conditions.
Every Want That Watch competition is a game of skill. To qualify for the draw you must correctly answer an expert-level horological question about the prize watch. Random or unanswered entries do not qualify.
2.1 You must be 18 years of age or over.
2.2 You must submit valid customer and contact details through the official entry process.
2.3 You must not be a WantThat.watch employee, immediate family member of an employee, or otherwise connected with the administration of the competition.
Paid online entry. Pick the competition, answer the skill question correctly, choose how many entries you'd like, and pay the stated entry price. You receive a unique Entry ID (format OC-XXXXXXXXXXXX) for every entry.
Free postal entry. Register an account online, then post a postcard per the requirements in Schedule 1 of the Terms & Conditions. Postal entries have equal odds of winning as paid entries.
Each competition page states the maximum number of entries per person and the overall entry cap for that competition. We close the competition once the cap is reached or the published closing date passes — whichever comes first.
5.1 Draws take place on the published closing date and are carried out automatically by Our Website using a cryptographically secure process. We may use Randomdraws or another independent third-party draw provider to support or supervise draws where appropriate.
5.2 Each draw uses a cryptographically secure random seed. The seed, the sorted eligible entry list, and the winning Entry ID are stored in the draw audit record, and the winning Entry ID is published on the competition page after the draw.
5.3 Draws may be live-streamed and recorded; the recording is retained for legal compliance.
5.4 Where required, draws may be witnessed by an independent witness or notary, whose details are recorded with the draw audit log.
6.1 The prize is the specific timepiece described on the competition page. It is non-transferable and non-negotiable.
6.2 We may substitute a cash equivalent of at least the prize's stated retail value if the prize becomes unavailable.
6.3 The prize ships fully insured. Tracked international courier is used; the available delivery routes for each region (including any hand-delivery option) will be confirmed by WantThat.watch in the winner's claim notice. Delivery may take up to 14 days from claim verification.
7.1 We contact the winner by email and telephone within 24 hours of the draw.
7.2 Winners may be asked for photo ID and proof of address to verify identity, age and eligibility.
7.3 If a winner cannot be reached, or fails to claim within 21 days of the closing date, we reserve the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant.
Every entry is logged with timestamp, IP address, answer given, validation result, and the unique Entry ID. The complete audit log for each draw is retained and available for legal review.
We may cancel a competition in the event of a force majeure event (see Schedule 2 of the Terms & Conditions). All paid entries are refunded in full if a competition is cancelled before the draw.
10.1 We reject entries we reasonably believe are automated, made by third parties on someone else's behalf, made under multiple identities, or otherwise made in bad faith.
10.2 We may suspend or close accounts that breach these rules.
